3 Vitamin C Rich Foods For A Brighter Complexion

This means eating a wide range of vitamin C rich foods! When we think of vitamin C, the first thing that probably comes to mind is an orange. This makes sense, as oranges are one of the richest sources of vitamin C.

You may be confused as to what other foods contain vitamin C, so we have listed our top3 favourites, as well as some delicious ways to enjoy them!



How predictable right? Well, this list just wouldn’t be complete without starting out with the fruit that always comes to mind when we think of vitamin C.

Oranges are delicious enjoyed on their own or whipped up in a smoothie with strawberries and bananas. Just one medium orange provides you with enough Vitamin C, but keep reading, because the next fruit’s Vitamin C content rivals that of an orange!

Kakadu Plum

With 50 times the Vitamin C content found in an orange, kakadu plums top the list when it comes to not only a potent source of vitamin C, but antioxidants and bioactives as well.

Kakadu plum is one of our signature ingredients here at Stem.They are delicious when consumed alone or in a mixed fruit bowl topped with Greek yogurt and granola, yum!


This dark, leafy green is probably the last thing that comes to mind when you think of Vitamin C, but 1 cup of kale provides just as much vitamin C as an orange.

Of course, kale is not everyone’s favourite food due to it’s bitter taste, but we bet you will change your mind after trying it this way:


Chop kale roughly into “kale chips”, and fry in some coconut oil over medium high heat. Coconut oil is better than olive oil, as it helps to sweeten them up. Once crispy remove from heat, and drizzle with some honey or maple syrup, a dash of sea salt and voila!
